As it turns out, though it is perfectly legal to run an internet radio station, it is illegal to have any copyrighted work on it without licensing from the owner of that work. This is sometimes the artists themselves and very frequently the record label.

So next time you are taking part in a crazyskills® LAN Party or just happen to be in the area and are enjoying the public hotspot we host here, by all means, tune in. Until then, there are plenty of good internet radio stations out there - I suggest checking out ShoutCast if you haven't already. There are some truly great stations on there (with no ads.) Groove Salad is one of my favorites.
